DIGITIZATION AT BEAUTIFUL MONASTERY OF NÁJERA

Digitization at Beautiful Monastery of Nájera

We have been able to work for a complete week at the Beautiful villa of Nájera, in Logroño, north of Spain, in its wonderful Monastery. The superb Choir, very well conservated, is dated in 1495 and is supposed to be sculpted by the masters Nicolás and Andrés, even though some versions say it was done by the Amutio brothers, two jews settled in a village nearby. It was a Choir of the San Benito comunity of monks, and it suffered the pass of time and the war against France. As result of this only three back panels remain in the Low row and most of the figures attached at the High Row dissapeared.  But the richness of figures is everywhere and in the top there are fine crestings plenty of imaginative musics playing and another beautiful pieces.
We hope to make a nice Visual representation of the whole Choir for our Project.
